So I really want to stress how important it is to keep going. Even in times when it seems like nothing is happening, always strive to do 1-3 things that can help your career. I think that's what a lot of actors, dancers, etc. don't get. Even if I watch a movie, stretch for 15 minutes and do a facial while watching a movie (a good one, lol) I've hit all three areas of dancing, acting and modeling and they were so simple. For instance, tomorrow I'm seriously thinking of researching casting directors in the Texas - Central region to mail my headshot and resume. I have all these headshots and I don't want these to go to waste once I get new ones in about 6 months or so like the last ones. When I take the time to consciously do things to further my career everyday, no matter how small it may seem, I feel fulfilled and like I accomplished something...because I did.

May 2010 Goals
As I continue this journey, I find inspiration everyday in many different ways. I thrive off people around me, especially my peers and friends growing in their talents and careers. I love hearing news from back home that others are succeeding. That makes me only want to work harder, to make sure we reach the top together. Every month I will set goals for myself and I will definitely blog to tell you whether I achieved them or not.
These are my May goals that I want to accomplish:
1) Find a job and begin working before May is over
2) Improve vocally and add at least 3 more songs to my book
3) Have 4 "go-to" monologues and continue to perfect them
4) Compile a short list of commercial agents to submit myself to
5) Improve eating habits and drink plenty of water daily
6) Work on clearing up skin
That is more than enough to keep me busy for the next month and a half. I plan on sticking to focusing more on training my voice and dance classes than auditioning (Unless I'm really interested in the project) and not just showing up at EVERY audition.I am also happy to say that I finally got a dance workstudy with Alvin Ailey! It happened sooner than I thought it would and now I can take class for free! That takes a load of of my mind as far as finances go, because the amount of classes I mean to take would have been A LOT of money. God truly answered my prayer on that one.
